With just $4.30, you get yourself a Kuey Chap Set. Not just any ordinary Kuey Chap Set, but the best I have come across so far!

We all have eaten Kuey Chap(s) that fail to have that herbal taste in the soup, or Kuey Chap(s) that have so little ingredients or are filled with more cheap ingredients(fish cakes), or the most common ones, those in which the gravy for the ingredients run like water and are not captured in the ingredients. Finding a good Kuey Chap set can be difficult, especially since this dish can be found almost anywhere in Singapore. Just how many do you want to try before arriving at your final decision, right?

So, putting aside all my bad experiences let me tell you about this one.
I was there on a warm day and I had heard about this particular Kuey Chap that is a must try! So I headed over to this little street and order myself a bowl of what I have crowned as the best, KC set. Its meat was so tender, and was obviously prepared with much profession because I could taste the herbs used in the seasoning in the thick sauce which I savoured the pig’s intestines, eggs, fish cake and Kuey (Flat noodles).

The chilli was also one to be complimented. It seemed like there was garlic in the chilli, but whatever it was, it was working really well with the overall ingredients! Put together and eaten in a spoonful, I was once again reminded that simplicity is indeed, the best. This dish, has I must say, fulfilled all the criteria of the Best Kuey Chap. So pardon me for the lack of pictures, because I took my first bite, and the rest was history.

Finding this hard to believe? Send in your opinion of the Best Kuey Chap, and maybe it will take the place of this dish!

Ps: Thank you, Terence Tan, for this wonderful recommendation!
