Seafood fried rice@ Mr Teh Tarik
306A Woodlands St 31, #01-750
Price : $4.50
Rating: 4/5 stars

I am sure you would have heard of the famous hot drink, Teh Tarik. But ever heard of the stall, Mr Teh Tarik? Located just opposite the Woodlands Polyclinic, this small coffee-shop has only about 3 to 4 stalls.

A wide range of unique drinks is sold over here. Not only the drinks, but the names of it are extraordinary as well. Such names include the Cocktail Spin and White Spider. And as you must have guessed by the name of the shop, teh tarik is one of their popular drinks. Other than the usual hot tea, you could even have a choice of having iced teh tarik with a scoop of ice-cream.I thought the specialty of the store was the drinks, but I was proven wrong.

The seafood fried rice tasted twice as good. At just $4.50 per plate, you get a huge portion of fried rice. What makes this dish stand out from the rest of the other fried rice dishes out there is the quantity of the ingredients added. There were huge chunks of sotong and egg slices. The dish was accompanied with many shredded cabbages too. With each bite, you would get a mixed taste – the crunchiness of the cabbage and the delectable taste of the rice.

Go grab yours now! Don’t forget to try some of their unique drinks too! J

  2. Mr Teh's parents must love teh tarik a lot to name their son "Teh Tarik". I wonder if I can pitch some of my drink names to them. Will not be sharing it with you for copyright issues. sorry if you were wondering!
